It's 2 AM and You're Still Scrolling Party Supplies…

Whether it's unicorns, dinosaurs, mermaids, or whatever theme your kid is obsessed with this year…you want to make it perfect. But the costs keep adding up, and somewhere you know someone nearby just threw this exact party.

There has to be a better way.

The Problem…

You've been putting off the decision.

Not because you forgot about your kid's birthday. Because you were hoping they'd change their mind. Maybe just want family and cake this year? Or agree to just do a family vacay instead? Yes, please!

Spoiler Alert: They didn't change their mind.

So now it's getting close and you're doing the thing you always do: going ALL IN.

Because if you're doing this, you're not half-assing it. The backdrop. The balloon arch. The themed plates and napkins and decorations. The thing that makes it Instagram-worthy. Not because you feel you need to show it off, but because that’s what makes your heart happy, showing your love through the details.

Your cart keeps climbing. You stop looking at the total.

Your partner will ask "how much are we spending?" and you'll say "I'm figuring it out". (which actually means "I don't want to tell you yet.")

The party will be perfect. Your kid will be glowing. WORTH EVERY PENNY. You’ll look back on that picture with their eyes lit up… forever.

But the next week you'll walk past your garage full of decorations and think: I spent $1000+ on four hours.

And somewhere in the back of your mind, you know someone nearby threw this same party recently. Or at least the same theme, even if it wasn’t the exact same, Amazon DEFINITELY shipped out more than one sets of these supplies in your zip code this month.

They have all of this. Right now. Collecting dust.

But asking feels weird. So you bought it. They bought it. And next month another parent will buy it again.

We're all spending hundreds on the same themes. Storing them separately. Doing it alone.

What if you could just share?

That's CelebrationShare.

Make magic accessible.

Keep stuff shared, not wasted.

Rent what you need from neighbors. List what you have. Celebrate together.

My "Holy Shit" Moment

I'm Kelley, and I finally said yes to my daughter's unicorn party ten days before her fifth birthday. Sent out text invites.. secretly thinking everyone HAS to have plans by now, but no, 85 people said yes (thank goodness we have a farm and it was 83 degrees in October that year)

Then I went all in. Pool of corn (yes, really—she wanted to "swim in corn"). Bouncy house “that wasn’t ours.” Hand made pool noodle unicorns (the kids loved these - they play with them a year and a half later). Color-changing mocktails (complete with cotton candy and glitter - these were SUCH a hit so lmk if you want the recipe). Custom everything.

Final bill: who knows…? Because I sure as hell don’t want to.

Worth it? Absolutely. She still talks about it. There’s a picture I took where she was surrounded by her friends, her face was lit up, and I will treasure it forever.. it makes me tear up just thinking about it, so I’ll share it somewhere on this page. And her little sister has been counting the days until HER whole hand birthday ever since!

But then I found out our friends in the development around the corner had thrown a unicorn party two months earlier, and then we were invited to three more in her class that same year… LADIES…

They had probably 70% of the “themed stuff” I just bought. AT EVERY ONE OF THOSE PARTIES. It’s probably still sitting in their garages RIGHT NOW.

We all spent hundreds, easy. Now, we're all storing it. None of us knew.

That's my story. But here's what I realized:

This is happening everywhere. With every theme.

Your neighbor has the dinosaur setup your kid wants. Someone nearby has the mermaid decorations. A mom down the street has the Bluey party supplies.

We have everything we need. We're just not sharing it.

So I'm building CelebrationSHARE … where parents, people, HUMANS (you know, those ones we used to see out in the wild before we lived in our screens..?) can rent party supplies from each other.

Any theme. Any celebration. Vetted, local, easy.

Listen, this app isn't ready yet.

It will be. And it'll be epic. But right now? We're still building it.

(And by we, I mean us, and the awesome developer that knows all the back end coding and technical “make it work” kinda stuff. Who knew so much went into all the apps we use daily? Haha, I can say it’s a LOT more than I initially thought, but I digress…)

But here's what I figured: Why can't we start helping each other anyway?

I have all the ideas. A ton of experience throwing seemingly a million events (my husband Mark rolls his eyes but his heart secretly explodes every time….sorry Mark). I've made a bunch of mistakes. Learned from them. Figured out what actually matters and what's just Pinterest noise. (insert: should we start a pinterest?")

And I know you're out there doing the same thing….planning parties like it's how you show love.

Because it IS how you show love.

So while we're building the platform, I'm showing up here anyway.

For ideas. For fun. For someone who actually gets it.

For help planning parties like no other….because that's how YOU show love too.

I know you do. I see you.

So let's go (a little less) crazy together.

Join the email list. You'll get:

  • Party planning tips from someone who's done this a thousand times

  • The mistakes I made so you don't have to

  • Behind-the-scenes of building this thing

  • Real mom talk (the 2 AM kind, not the filtered Instagram kind)

  • And yes, early access when CelebrationShare launches this summer

Don’t worry about spam, because I haven’t even actually figured out how to set up an email list (YET), so for now there will be some blogs on this page too… and maybe that pinterest account if I can figure out how to make it work.

We're building this together. You in?
